Board of Regents name five finalists for interim СÓÅÊÓƵ president

The University of Alaska Board of Regents has named five finalists for the interim president of the СÓÅÊÓƵ. Over the next few days, regents will interview all five candidates and make a final decision on July 14.

The finalists include: Acting President Michelle Rizk, former СÓÅÊÓƵF Interim Chancellor Dana Thomas, current Chancellors Cathy Sandeen [СÓÅÊÓƵA] and Daniel White [СÓÅÊÓƵF], and state Director of the Division of Legislative Finance Pat Pitney. Bios and photos of the finalists can be found at .

Each of the candidates was considered against the attributes approved by the board as well as Board of Regents policies that govern the president’s role. Regents will conduct interviews in executive session with each finalist beginning today and continuing on July 13, with an anticipated announcement of the interim president July 14.
